Knowing this means you can trade before the reset, then right away after the reset. The time for trades to reset in Monopoly GO is 8 am UTC, so after that time you can go ahead and make more trades for the next 24 hours until you hit your limit of 5 again.

There is a limit on trades in Monopoly GO to stop the trading system being exploited. For example if someone created multiple accounts, and grinded out cards on all accounts then sent them all to one player account, then they would easily be able to reach enough stars to open up a purple vault, complete collections and compete unfairly in tournaments.
