Go to the mines and later go to the home town en craft the iron and stuff you get from the mine so you can use them to upgrade weapons

In the laboratory (with the telescope on top). There are three tabs.. tools, buildings and perks.

Go to the home place, then of you have build a foundry there you can make these iron bard and stuff then if you did that go back to the laboratory to upgrade the weaponsSearch for more answers for Stranded Island or ask your own here.
