This is a full walkthrough for Chapter 2 of New York Mysteries 5: Power of Art, another highly rated mystery puzzle game from Five-BN. Follow the adventure and try to discover all of the items and evidence you need to solve the mystery, with plenty of puzzles to keep you busy along the way.

After seeing the Monster in Chapter 1 and then discovering the Artists Diary in the deserted apartment we now play as Noah as we investigate the Artists Past to find out more about him and how he painted the picture. New York Mysteries 5 Power of Art Chapter 2 Full Walkthrough

After the opening scenes you arrive and Noah's Grandpa's house. It is locked and no one is answering.

Collection Item: Hat on the ground by the large statue.

Tap the path to the left to move to the back of the house.

Collection Item: Hat in the flower bed on the right of the back door.

Morphing Object: Fruit on the chair on the bottom left.

You can read a note that is on the small table. Then collect a firewood basket from the wood pile to the left of the shed door.

Next tap on the table by the fence to the right of the shed. Collect a screwdriver from the bottom shelf.

You can then tap the various wooden parts (details) on the table to reassemble a bird feeder, you need t tap the items in the right order. but keep going until you collect the completed bird feeder.

Go back to the front of the house and view the front door again with the post box.

Use the screwdriver on the lock to open the box, then collect a Number (1 of 4). Read the note that is inside the box and then collect the Key.

Go back to the garden and use the key to open the shed door. You need to repair and collect the ladder.

First collect a screwdriver from the tool rack on the right side. then view a small wooden box on the left.

Use the screwdriver to open the screws and then collect from the box a hammer and a metal 'Rose'. Next tap on the ladder to see another metal Rose to collect behind it.

Now tap on the blue cupboard on the top left above the wooden box. This will move the door and reveal another metal rose on the shelf to collect. Now view the large clock on the right wall.

Add the 3 roses to it in the correct slots and you can then collect a Code paper. Then on the right of the bench under some shelves on the right wall is a round code Dial to collect.

Now view the poster on the wall in the center. Then tap the paper to roll it back and find a safe.

Add the dial to the safe and then view it and add the code.

Enter the code to open the safe, then tap the handle to open it. Collect a key. Next view the drawer in the desk below the safe.

Use the key to open it and you can collect a hinge and some nails. Now view the ladder again. Add the hinge and the nails, then use the hammer to secure them.

You will collect the ladder. Go to the front of the house and use the ladder on the Lamppost on the right. You can then view the top of it.

Collect some 'Legs' and a 'Detail'. Then go to the back garden again and view the table on the right of the shed.

Use the detail on the box on the ground. Then collect from it a plunger and some garden shears.

Back up to the front of the house again and then view the large green bush on the left wall of the house.

Use the shears here to cut away some of the ivy and you can collect a Flower emblem. Next view the base of the statue and place the flower emblem in the center. The base opens and you can collect a 'Number' (2 of 4)

Now go back to the back garden. View the vuse fuse box on the right side of the house.

Open it and collect a number (3 of 4), then tap to view the mat below the back door.

Move the mat and you can collect another number (4 of 4) you cannot do the puzzle there yet. Now view the back door and the puzzle on it. Add the 4 numbers to start.

Back Door Puzzle

• This puzzle is about directing a light beam.
• The beam will always start from the 'Start' button at the top.
• Choose a path by tapping any of the number buttons around the Start. And from then by tapping any button next to the last one the beam has arrived at.
• The beam will pass along in the direction you move and through the number of buttons that the button you tap shows. I.e. if you tap a number 2 to the left of the last position, then the beam will move 2 spaces to the left.

Once done the door unlocks and you can open it to go inside. Enter and follow the conversation with Eugene.

Task - Help Grandpa to get warm.

Collection Item: Hat under the table.

Morphing Object: Vase / Candle on the table.

Tap the coats hanging from the rack on the right behind the door. Then collect some matches from the pocket.

Now tap the open door on the right to move through into a Kitchen.

Collection Item: Hat on the floor by the stove at the back.

First view he bathtub on the left.

Use the plunger on it to drain the water and you can then collect a detail. (1 of 3). Next view the stove at the back.

Collect the meat from the plate on the right and then use the matches on the hob under the large pot to light it. Then collect the kettle with boiling water.

Now view the table with the cups and add the kettle to the trivet in the center.

Use the teapot on the cup with the spoon to make tea. Collect this. Back up to the living room and place the tea on the table.

Now tap to view the dark doorway on the left of the room. The light doesn't work but you can collect the Pattern hanging from the switch.

Next exit the house and return to the front view. Tap to view the hole in the tree on the left with the Owl. Add the bird feeder to the tree branch and then place the meat on it. The bird will leave the hole.

You can now collect a vinyl record from the hole. Head back into the house and view the gramophone on the right side.

Add the record to it and then tap the handle to play it. A section on the side will open.

Place the 'pattern' in the slot that appears and you can then collect a 'Head' and a paperclip.

Next tap to view the drawers of the other unit on the right side.

Use the paper clip on the center drawer to pick the lock and open it. Collect a Fuse set from the drawer. Go out to the back garden again and view the fuse box on the right. Add the fuse set t it. Select a fuse from the box ans then tap the top right broken fuse to replace it.

Go back inside and view the dark doorway on the left again. Tap the light switch to turn on the lights. You can now go through into a bedroom.

Collection Item: Hat on the bed.

Collect the book form the bed and then notice the painting of the ballerina on the wall. Then view the wooden artists mannequin on the red unit on the right of the room.

• You can tap the limbs to move them and post the mannequin.
• Copy the post shown in the ballerina painting.

Solution:

Collect from the cupboard another detail (2 of 3), Now view the fireplace on the left.

Collect the palette. And the place the Firewood Basket on the hearth.

Tap the wood to add it to the fireplace and then use the matches to light it.

Return to the living room and talk to Eugene, he will tell you what he needs you to do next and give you another Detail (3 of 3)

Task - Finish the Picture

Tap on the clock that is to the right of the bedroom door.

View the center panel and then add the 3 details to it to start a puzzle.

Living Room Clock Puzzle

• This is a math puzzle
• Place all of the numbered tiles at the bottom into the 3 squares at the top.
• Align the pairs so that the number in each row and column add up to the numbers in the center.
• There are vertical and horizontal pairs of numbers.
• The solution is shown below

The clock opens and you can collect a key. Next view the book case on the left of the room by the table.

Tap the decorative panel to open it and then place the book in with the others, you can then collect some brushes.

Now move to the kitchen and view the door on the right.

Use the key to open it and go down to the basement.

Collection Item: Hat on the bottom step on the left.

Morphing Object: Phone / Camera on the floor on the right.

Collect the oil can from the small stand in the center of the room. Then go back up to the kitchen. View the stove again and use the oil on the handle to let you open the compartment below

Collect an antler, then go back to the Bedroom. View a plaque on the wall on the left.

Add the antler to it and it will open for you to collect a key.

Now return to the basement and view the large cupboard on the right. Use the key to open it.

This is now a hidden object scene where you need to find the paints.

Find the Paints Hidden Object Scene

• There are 15 small jars hidden in the scene.
• Many are placed inside other objects or require interactions to find them.
• You will also need to find 3 clue numbers to help open a lock.
• Watch the video below for help.

Once you have the paints view the stand in the center of the room again and place there the paints, the brushes and the palette.

The painting will the be completed. Return to the living room and talk to Grandpa. He asks you to check the fuses

Task - Deal with the Light

Go back outside to the fuse box and change the same fuse again. Then when you return Grandpa is gone. Watch the story scene.

You are now inside the world of the painting, a courtyard.

Task - Find Gandpa

Collection Item: Hat in the middle of the floor.

Morphing Object: flower on the left of the archway.

Collect a stick from the ground, then tap on the red cloth on the wall to the right.

Collect the fabric and then also collect a gem (1 of 3) that you find behind it. Then view the empty fountain on the right of the scene. Collect another gem (2 of 3) from inside.

Now view the archway with the bars to look through. Use the stick on the bottle to collect Solvent.

In the center of the right wall is a square section view this.

Use the solvent on it and then the fabric to clean it. Collect the gem (3 of 3).

Now view the round board in the corner. Add the 3 gems to it to start a puzzle.

Gems Puzzle

• The 5 gems all emit a beam of light in 1, or 2 directions.
• the beam will illuminate all the hexagons in its path, unless blocked by another gem.
• Place the gems so that all of the hexagons on the board are illuminated.
• The solution is shown below

Now tap the wheel handle on the large mirror on the left to move it to reflect the light. This will first point it to the blue square on the wall and then tap it again to point it at the gems board.

After this the handle will be lowered and you can tap it to move to the next area. A Beach.

Collection Item: Hat on the sand by the boat.

Morphing Object: A tower silhouette on the wall in the distance by the tree on the left.

First tap on the tree in the top left to view that area.

Collection Item: Hat on the log on the lower right.

Morphing Object: Log on the ground on the left.

Collect the 'bung' from the ground by the log on the right. Now back up to the courtyard. Then view the empty water fountain on the right

Place the Bung into the bottom and you can then collect a Sun symbol from the mouth above. Go back to the Beach and tap on the door at the far end to view it.

Add the sun to the center to open the panel and find a puzzle.

Beach Door Puzzle

• The green counters can be moved line in solitaire by jumping over other counters.
• There are 10 counters and 10 circles that have a green dot on them.
• Move the counters around so that they are all placed onto the green dots
• Watch the video below for help.

Go through the door to view the lighthouse garden. This is another hidden object scene.

Lighthouse Garden Octopus Scene

• There are 15 octopuses to find in the scene.
• Some are just outlines or shapes so you will need to look carefully.
• Check inside boxes and under leaves to find them all
• Watch the video below for help

Once done you can access the Lighthouse. Go up to find Grandpa.

Collection Item: Hat at the top of the stairs.

Talk to Grandpa to get his story.

Task - Replace the Crystal in the Lighthouse.

View the center ring of the lighthouse on the floor and collect a Handle.

Now back up to the beach and view the large harpoon bow on the sand.

View the reel at the bottom and add the handle to it, you can then reel in the rope and collect a harpoon. Then also collect the Rope.

Next view the boat on the right of the beach. Use the harpoon to collect the bucket in the water.

Now view the tree with the monster again. On the right is a square hole in the wall, view this.

Place the bucket into the hole to block the spikes, you will then get a cut scene where the monster wakes but you manage to kill it.

You will collect a detail. View the stone block with the crystal on top and use the detail on it to open a panel.

You can then view a puzzle.

Crystal Block Puzzle

• There are 7 lines of runes.
• You can slide these left and right to place them over the block of runes at the bottom.
• Line them all up so that the runes match those below them.
• The puzzle completed for me when the last block was not quite in the right place.

Collect the crystal. Before moving on tap the roots of the tree on the far left side to look and find a 'Flower'.

Go back to the beach and view the statue on the left side.

Place the flow in the hands and you can collect a Detail. Now tap the Lighthouse to go back up to the top. Ten view the small panel at the top of the center light.

Add the detail to the right side, then you can open the panel to find a puzzle.

Lighthouse Puzzle

• Tap the arrow points to turn them and direct the blue laser around the board.
• You need to pass the beam through every point and then reach the exit point on the right.
• Check the solution path below.

With the panel open collect the fish and then remove the old crystal and add in the new one. Watch the next scene and you will receive a Machete.

Task - Come Back Home

Go back to the beach and view the boat again. Use the Machete on the green fabric to cut a hole.

Collect a Torch and then view the box inside to find a puzzle.

Boat Chest Puzzle

• Add the fish to the left to activate the arrow controls.
• Use the arrows to rotate the board and let the blue ball drop.
• Arrange the 4 balls into a square next to each other to complete the puzzle.
• Watch the video below for help.

Collect the Hexagons and a Wrench from the chest. Return to the top of the lighthouse and view a broken floor panel on the left.

Use the wrench on it to open the grate and then collect from inside a statuette, and an Engraved Disc.

Next view the doors on the left. The handle doesn't work.

Use the machete on the lock to open the door. Then tap on the bag outside.

Use the Engraved disc on it to open the bag and collect some Bolts and a Door Knocker.

Now go back down to the beach and then to the Tree where the monster was. View the base of the tree with the overgrown roots.

Use the machete hereto cut away the roots, you can then use the rope on the hole and climb down.

Collection Item: Hat on the ground on the lower left.

Select the torch in your inventory and then add the matches to light it.

Now use the torch on the large beetles on the right to scare them away. You can then tap to view the case there. This is another hidden object scene.

Under the Tree Hidden Object Scene

• There are 15 names items to find.
• Some are within other items so you will nee to search around.
• You can close the case to find items behind it.
• Check the video below for help.

You now collect a shovel. Tap on the left side of the mound of the ground to see a half buried door.

Use the shovel on the dirt to dig out the door. Then you can select it and place it onto the door frame.

View the door and tap the hinges to put them in place. Then add the 2 bolts and the door knocker.

You will then be transported back to the garden on the house. Time to find the safe.

Go inside and down to the basement.

Collect the painting from the wall (1 of 8) and then view the red sofa. Use the machete on the sofa to cut open a hole and collect a Planet.

Next view the panel on the left wall by the stairs with hexagons.

Add the hexagons that you have to it to start a puzzle.

Basement Safe Puzzle

• This is a matching pairs puzzle.
• Find pairs of symbols, they will then turn over.
• Some will turn blank and others will reveal new symbols.
• Keep finding pairs until all the hexagons are blank.
• Check the video below for help

With the safe open collect a hammer, and the other contents of the safe.

Go back up to the kitchen, collect a painting from the wall (2 of 8). Then in the living room collect one more, the square one (3 of 8)

Go into the bedroom and collect 2 paintings from the back wall (not the ballerina) (5 of 8). Then view the large monster painting on the left wall.

Use the hammer on this to remove it and collect it (6 of 8), you will find a secret room behind. Collect a lamp shade from inside the room.

Now back out to the living room and view the lamp in the center of the back wall that has no shade. Add the lamp shade to it to reveal a pattern.

Back out into the garden and view the puzzle at the bottom of the steps.

Back Door Mat Puzzle

• Move the yellow disks be rotating on the hexagonal lines, or sliding on the straight lines.
• Move the disks into the positions shown on the lamp shade.

Once done collect a Wing from the hole.

Now go view the Statuette in your inventroy and add to it the wing, the legs and the head pieces. This iwll assmeble the full statuette.

Return to the bedroom and look in the secret room. Place the statuette on the pedestal inside.

You can now access a ladder to the attic.

Collection Item: Hat on the shelves on the left.

View the globe on the right side and then tap to open it.

Place the planet in the center to start a puzzle.

Planet Puzzle

• There are 4 rings that you need to rotate to align the games on the left
• Moving each ring will also rotate others.
• Check the video below for help

Collect a paper with a number clue from the globe. Now view a phone that is on a small table on the left of the cupboard.

Add the paper clue to it and you can then dial the number. 2974

It will open and you can collect a key. Now look in the lit alcove on the left of the attic.

First tap the cloth on the left to open it. Then use the machete on the strings to unwrap it. It is another painting to collect (7 of 8)

Then use the key on the red box to open it. Collect some nails.

Now view the painting in the center of the attic with the broken frame.

Add the nails to it and then use the hammer to repair the frame, Collect the painting. (8 of 8)
