Case 3 - Mine Accident Walkthrough Part 3

Welcome to our Mystery Detective Adventure walkthrough. This is another in the popular line of Mystery escape room and puzzle games from Five-BN.

This is Part 3 of our walkthrough for the third case in the game. Mine Accident is the case of the death of a miner in an apparent accident. But the mine manager is worried that is was not an accident.

In Case 3 Part 2 we discovered another death of the foreman and found clues about the lighthouse in his house. We have now managed to get access to the light house.

Case 3 - Mine Accident Walkthrough Part 3

Enter the lighthouse and then go up the steps to the top.

Tap the symbols cards to get Evidence 4/4 - Stencils with Symbols. This completes the investigation.

New Task - Talk to the Engineer

Now you need to speak to the manager again to ask where to find the old engineer.

Return to the mine yard and enter the office of the manager again.

After the conversation you will receive the Key to the other tunnel.

New Task - Inspect the Grave

Go back to the mine and view the gate to the left side tunnel, use the key to open it.

Next you need to tap the switch next to the track so that you can then use the hand cart again and travel into the left tunnel.

Tunnel Maze

• You are now in a maze of tunnels. First you need to locate the grave.
• At each junction there may be 1, 2 or 3 tunnels to choose from.
• Use the switches at each junction to select a tunnel then you can move forward.

From the starting point shown above, follow this path to reach the grave. Note the locations of Picks that you cannot collect yet

Left tunnel -> Left tunnel -> Straight ahead -> Collect the Shovel

Back up twice to here and use the shovel to clear the dirt on the right path.

Right Tunnel - > Collect the Jack from the broken cart on the tracks. (Pick)

Back up the the start with the 3 tunnels and go to the Right tunnel -> Right tunnel - > Use the Jack here to repair the track on the right.

Then take the Right tunnel -> Collect the Key (Pick)

Back up and take the Left tunnel -> Use the key on the panel on the right to open the gates

Then take the Left Tunnel -> Collect the Rope.

Back up and take the right tunnel to find a hole.

Look in the hold and use the rope to let you go down to the grave.

You now need to find 5 Picks.

Back up and look in the hole again to find a pick in the side to collect. (1/5)

The others are found as follows:

From the start point go Left and then right

From the start point take the center tunnel, it is on the wall top center.

From the start point go right then left, it is on the wall top center.

From the start point go Right, Right, Right.

Go back to the hole with the grave and use the 5 picks on the locked chest.

Then read the letter inside to get Evidence 2/6 - Suicide Note.

New Task - Warn Miners about the danger

Return to the workshop in the mine yard and talk to the old Miner and the dead miners bother.

The brother will look for Steve. You now need to find Robert at the Pier.

Return to the Pier and enter the bar on the right. Talk to the woman and then look through the window on the left.

There is a bloody club.

Exit the bar and tap the end of the dock on the right.

Tap the club to get Evidence 1/2 - Club covered in Blood

Next tap the loose planks of wood to arrange them and then add the nails to them. Finally use the hammer to then collect a Bridge.

Back up and use the bridge on the small boat on the left to left you cross over. You can then view the body floating in the water.

Use the Hook to pull the body in and then use the knife to cut away the nets.

Tap the body to get Evidence 2/2 - Robert's body in the water.

New Task - Save Steve

Back up to the houses near the pier and try the door to the house on the right. It is locked. Now view the bicycle to see the back wheel then collect a Bicycle Spoke.

Use this on the door lock to start a puzzle

Lock Pick Puzzle

• Slide the pick to a lock pin to raise it.
• If you select any incorrect pins it will reset them all.
• You need to select all 8 pins in the correct order to open the lock

Solution:

Enter the house

Collection Item: Hard hat under the table.

Morphing Object: box / bulb on the wooden chair on the left of the table.

View a photo on the set of drawers by the open door.

Tap this to get Evidence 3/6 - Scratched Photo. Then collect a Bent Part from behind it.

View the closed blue door on the right and tap the hand print to get Evidence 4/6 - Handprint.

Next tap the white refrigerator on the right and then open the lower left door. Use the knife here to break the ice and collect a Detail (1/4)

View the sofa on the left of the room and use the knife again to cut open some stitching and collect a Rotating Dial

Now tap the open door to do through to a bedroom.

Collection Item: Hard hat on the end of the bed on the left.

Morphing Object: Patch on the cloth on the table on the left.

View the bedside unit to the left of the bed.

Tap the news paper on the shelf to read it and get Evidence 5/6 - Newspaper about Payments

You will also collect the Bookmark.

Then tap on the door below to see a puzzle

Bedside unit puzzle

• Add the book mark to this for a clue.
• Drag the 5 sliding elements up or down to set the code.
• Each element has a lines symbol for you to find the matching number from the bookmark

Collect a Winding Key from the cabinet.

Now view the table on the left to see a model boat on it.

Tap the large wheel at the back to place it on the model and then the nut to secure it.

Then use the winding key on the front to wind it and then you can collect a Detail (2/4)

Next view a bag that is on the red bed and use the knife to cut it open. Collect a Key.

Exit the house and view the bicycle again, use the key to open the saddle bag. Collect another Detail (3/4) and a Book.

Go back into the house and view a shelf of books on the top left.

Book shelf puzzle

• Add the book to the gap to start.
• The books have Roman numerals on the side
• Swap pairs of books to place them in numerical order.

Collect the bottle of Alcohol.

Go back into the bedroom and view a large chest on the right.

Use the alcohol on the stain on the floor to the right of it and then select the green cloth to wipe it.

This reveals 3 numbers.

Place the Rotating dial onto the box and view this, Then enter the 3 numbers in turn to open the box.

Collect a Valve wheel from inside

Exit the house again and view a press on the right of the door.

Add the valve wheel to the top and then place the bent part inside. Tap the wheel to lower the press and then you can collect a Detail (4/4)

Go back into the house and now view a cabinet on the left of the book shelf.

Numbers Puzzle

• Add the 4 details to this to begin the puzzle.
• There are 10 numbers on the details around the outside.
• Within the puzzle are number buttons that you can press once each and operator buttons (+ , x)
• Make sums with 2 numbers and an operator to clear each of the numbers.

Solution:

Once done collect a Key. View the blue door and use the key to open it.

Go though to follow a cut scene where you are trapped in the basement. This completes the investigation and now you need to escape.

You will have a limited amount of time to complete the tasks to get out of the window. If you take too long you pass out and then the room resets for you to start again.

Collect a Mop from the front of the blue cabinet on the left and then view the floor under the window to collect some Pliers

Now use the Mop on a pipe on the top left to knock down and collect a Scissors part.

Next view the table and use the scissors part on the broken grind stone to sharpen it.

Tap the can on the left of the table to empty it and then collect a Key.

Now view the blue cabinet and use the scissors part on the yellow pipe on the right to cut some string and collect an Arrow.

Then add the key to the lock on the cabinet and use the pliers to turn it. Collect a Bucket of oil from the cabinet.

Now use the bucket of oil on the red shelving rack. This will move it.

View the window now and collect a Magnet.

Then view an open drain hole that was below the rack and use the magnet to collect a second Arrow.

Now view the locked wall cabinet on the left.

Add the 2 arrows to it to open it and then you can collect the Hacksaw.

View the window again and use the hacksaw to cut the bar on the right.

You can then escape.
