If I don’t use my free hero recruitment ticket will the next one stack? Thus giving me 2 free recruitments in time? Or do you have to use it before the next free one comes?

No, free tickets expire / restock every day at the daily reset time. You can save up all normal tickets to use in bulk on the hero day for clash of zones. But the free ones don't stack.
